I think it was 1947 that the designation changed when the USAAF became tha USAF. Recon plane became RF or RB

I have always like the RN's later battlecruisers.

LOL just remembered my dad and I argueing about battlecruisers, he said there were no such thing and I always said there was these beatiful ladies.

I always wondered too. Looks nice, but maybe a fin fillet(?) like the P-47 and P-51 had??
