Continuing on with this project, slowly but surely! We're getting close to the end now. Part Three: Mackenzie - class Destroyer Escorts The initial design for what became known as the Mackenzie - class was for an enlarged version of the St. Laurent - class destroyer escorts. Designed in 1957, they w...

Interesting. Why does a Coast Guard-operated OPV need to be armed with torpedoes? I don’t see any hull-mounted sonar, is there a towed array or some other method by which this vessel can track and pursue a submarine contact?

Wow Karle94, really incredible work here. You've really been on a roll these last few months with these unbuilt designs. I can't imagine the amount of time and effort that you've put into these drawings. Looking forward to seeing more!

Really nice work in this thread, keep up the good work. I feel as though the Fassmer MPV 90 is one of those designs that could really benefit from a top view, or even a fore/aft view, as it's quite an unusual design and the side view doesn't give the viewer a full understanding of the general arrang...

Wow, great work here. The attention to detail is very impressive - the De Ruyter in particular is very well done. Looking forward to seeing more from you in the future.

Great work indeed! Just for some reason the contours of the Hedgehog (on both) is not actually black. Btw. You're not contemplating doing plan (and maybe even fore/aft) views? ;) Duly noted - I'll have the drawings updated shortly. Thanks for the catch on the Hedgehog launchers. I haven't been able...

Nice work. I'm a little bit confused though - are you the artist for both of these drawings, or are you posting the second one on someone else's behalf? They're credited to two separate artists. From a drawing standpoint, the underwater hull shading on the Type 054B looks very basic as compared to t...

Based on the British River - class frigates, the American Tacoma - class was designed to be built quickly and cheaply in order to fulfill an urgent requirement for convoy escorts. The construction would be contracted out to a number of smaller, commercial shipyards that would employ prefabrication t...
