Well, its a pretty interesting ship...plays very well into that size matters thing. Hoping not to commit an egregious sin, I did a quick and dirty slice and dice of your ship...essentially cutting out the center section with the 2 extra guns, the grafting the ends together. This may not be "Shipbuck...

Love the idea behind the Sidewinder launcher. Reminds me of the Chaparral conversion Taiwan did to their old WW2 DDs.

I really like where this design is going. But...(theres always a butt) The midships VLS is right where your engine room will be. Just not enough Real Estate in that area to have both. Better to set the VLS forward of the bridge structure. Also get rid of the "Strike Length" VLS ( the T-Hawk missile)...

A long time lurker who loves the drawings but has little skill. But I would like to submit a challenge for any willing to try: A modern gun Frigate/Destroyer. The premise being the USN has realized the economic reality that in any protracted war you can not afford to shoot 2-4 (or more) million doll...

Just a minor nit-pick... Assuming the traditional method of "killing" a zombie is a shot to the head (or any other method of causing significant trauma to the brain; axe, sword, chainsaw, club) we should rethink our weapons of choice for these ships. Think Walking Dead where the decapitated heads we...

She's not being restored. A group wants to, but they lack the funding. She sits in port in La Spezia rusting away. Probably beyond saving at this point.

The Saratoga and Lex were Turbo-Electric and were capable of over 33 knots with a 10,000 mile range at 10 kts. Originaly designed as Battlecruisers (8x16" guns in 4 twin turrets) they were the largest Carriers in the US fleet until USS Midway in 1945 (indicating the ability to use a common hull and ...

I vote for Shigure. Her Captain through much of WW2 (Hara) published an outstanding book in the early 60s (Japanese Destroyer Captain) about the war from his personal perspective.

The one issue I have with your Conqueror (DDG15) class is the VLS all the way aft. This leaves you zero room for the machinery space you must have to operate your rudder, not to mention other spaces for towed torpedo decoys, towed sonar arrays, etc. Otherwise i love the way you've married the Burke ...
