Looking forward to seeing this thread progress. The CGSN is my favorite never built, and the CSGN-like Long Beach conversion is almost as interesting.

NTU was planned for the Charles F Adams DDGs, which had a similar displacement to the FFG-7s. That SPS-48 might not be out of question.

I don't know if the Millennium gun is appropriate for the 1998 era. Design work started in 1995, but it didn't enter service until 2003.
