Despite being a nice idea, the "y-39" O think is too advanced for the era. A more convectional design however is possible. Look the PPS-43 and Sten for ideas. As far I have understood, there is a "Cold War" between South and North which becomes "warm" from time to time. He has already mention one or two Wars of The Americas, not remember exactly.
