Having read your website I'll admit that this now makes a lot more sense. You design a good ship and some of your refits of older ships look really good. However, your fleet as listed is jumping into the ring weighing in at well over 400,000 tonnes (just in BB and BC) and as such you'll either nulli...

I didn't even think of that to be honest. It also seems to be a very Plan Z esque fleet in that there's a lot of big ships but not as many useful ones. Great drawings though

Yeah...in this world Washington 1922 doesn't take place. In which case the RN sends a few battle squadrons south and might not try and retake Stanley so much as flatten Buenos Aires until you capitulate. Also your fluff fails to explain how Argentina goes from not being able to operate the 2 battles...

Hey guys I'm hoping to run a victory at sea campaign with a friend of mine. But to make things a little different I thought it would be fun to design and build up our own fleets and then play through an 1850-modern day scenario. Obviously keeping an eye on your fleet and budget and maintenance costs...

I think you're right, if I were a commander and I had a proper battlecruiser and this for a risky mission close to the enemy coast I'd go for the Surigao like night follows day. But on the flip side it costs more than a contemporary armoured cruiser, by a fair wedge, so you might be tempted to send ...

What are the many advantages that you claim this has over the Lion? I don't think extra manoeuvrability is going to count for much in 1909. Most battles were conducting in line of battle. And you also don't want to be turning too much because it'll throw your firing solution off (see the RN ending u...

I'm struggling to see what this would give you over the Lion Class that comes along only a couple of years later. The Lion can keep up with it, hits harder and from further away. I will grant you that it's a marked improvement over the 1st gen battlecruisers and a lovely looking ship.

Sorry that I'm a little late to this discussion (what's almost a year between friends). I've touched on this subject a couple of times when me and my friend ran a campaign of Harpoon and a variety of other games in a pretty-much-present-day-but-different-in-all-the-cool-ways-we-could-think-of settin...
