Here is a not very known design from the Italian Navy: During the 20s the Regia Marina also got into the "Cruiser Submarine" fad, looking for a submarine big enough to carry heavy artillery and an observation plane. Thus, in 1926 they came with very interesting design that was supposed to be the com...

Greetings. Here goes a first drawing of the original design of the KCR-60M Kapal Cepat Rudal (Fast Missile Boat) a fully indigenous project developed by Indonesia. https://i.imgur.com/2XRyQ1E.png I am still trying to wrap up some details like shading, sensors, missile, etc. Comments and suggestions ...

Added two tentative versions for the 1880 - 1884 period.

One keeping pretty much the old grey colour and the original 10in artillery:

The other with the dark/white/red scheme used normally by the Chilean navy and new 8in artillery:

Ok, here's what I could get you. Dating feels a bit sketchy to me so use your best judgement. Most interesting pictures. Thanks! From what I see, it is clear that after its capture by the Chilean Navy, the Huascar had at least two paintwork styles: -Grey, similar or the same to the one with the Per...

Very interesting pics! So, probably during the Civil War, Huascar was painted in the victorian fashion, very similar to the actual museum ship, but with the gaff (palo de la cangreja) much longer. One question about the 10 inch guns. I knew that during the war, Chilean Navy bought several BL 10 inc...

Hi Chocolate Bunny: One further comment. I think that in chilean service, the deck guns were also changed, from 40 RML pounders to BL guns. But I really don´t know the model, if a 5 inch (50 pounder), 4.7 inch (45 pounder) or 4 inch (25 pounder). In an old picture I saw the deck gun in a pivot (vav...
