A moon pool accommodation on a ship like this interests me, though (as an occasional diver myself)... any info on that? Not sure about the Investigator but certainly on the old Southern Surveyor (was aboard her for an Oceanographic voyage in the Indian Ocean back in 2012... two days out of port the...

Here is my latest design, the Indomitable-class (as much as I love America, the Brits really know how to name ships ;) ) support cruiser: http://imageshack.com/a/img910/3397/ojnF0O.gif At the moment, well, there's an issue with the radar fit: it's the full on getup you'd expect for an anti-air focu...

So here is the backbone of the Maritime Navy, the Dauntless -class frigate: One issue I see is that you've got your light forces using US type missile systems (ESSM), but your blue water forces using European systems (ASTER). While it's certainly possible for a nation to use both it introduces logi...

Ah, sorry. I didn't intend for my comment to come off as hostile.

And of cause, we're here not on AH.com, so you're right plausibility isn't a big concern... drawing ships and having fun doing so is.

How shall I put this? While no doubt a fun AU it's not very plausible... For a start the Incas rose to prominence relatively late. In the 12th century AD they were a minor city state centered on Cusco, and they only really started expanding beyond that in the 1430s. Nowhere near enough time to come ...

Small point but WA's mineral wealth is (barring a short-lived gold rush or two) a relatively recent phenomena. All the big iron ore deposits were found post-WW2, and, it was only really with the most recent mining boom that the flow of tax dollars started going from WA to the Eastern states rather t...

If you need an excuse for a larger population the onshore geology may provide an excuse : Recent exploration found some possible diamond-indicator minerals such as chromite and garnet, although there is no evidence that the chemistry of these minerals is indicative of an origin in a kimberlite pipe....

Silly little nit pick... IFAS Frecinet Bay? Assuming you mean the body of water near the Freycinet Peninsula down here in Tassie, then you're after Great Oyster Bay . But I dare say there's other more appealing options avalible (given it's a ship with an amphibious warfare role and hence associated ...

Done. Stated in relatively diplomatic terms... AH.com tries to hold certain standards of behaviour unlike, say, spacebattles (aka troll central).

1. Like you said, they wanted a domestically built ship. 2. A full Burke probably was outside their requirements - extra capability (and expense) they don't need. 3. I haven't heard anything bad about the F-100 class. 4. Crew... The latest Flight IIA Burkes' have a crew of 380ish; early Flight IIs ...
