The USS Drum in particular was in near-derelict condition even before the hurricans but is now restored and in good shape

The entire park needed updating after the hurricane damage and it houses a wide array of displays.

We had a major project in Mobile a few years back to protect Alabama that was being damaged by wave action on the hull.

Interesting Fujimotos in Never Built. The Breyer drawing had two turrets forward and one aft. Interesting to see the similarities to the British 1921 design with all main turrets forward.

If the Japanese bombers were not escorted by fighters having ID there might have tipped the scales...not sure if they had an escort

Can't wait to see the Fujimoto design. I have it and Hiraga in Breyer and they always seemed pretty exotic
