Fantastic work!

I wholeheartedly agree with adenandy. It would be very nice to see more of the smaller vessels. (e.g. Vorpostenboote)

P.S.:
There's a "c" missing in your "Kriegsfischkutter" drawing.

I really enjoy your work on the different US DD classes.

Hi,

I can't say for certain, but since the smudges can be seen on different dates, I believe these to be blotches of paint.

Excellent update!

I've only ever seen plans for the 2nd propsal. Very nice!

It's also great to see, that you've covered every design stage of the ship.

I'm late to the party, but very very cool stuff, indeed!

I love all the thought and work you have put into this thread.

Again, thanks for the comments guys! @Tempest: That would be awesome, wouldn't it? But imagine all the work it would take to draw a cruiser or a BB in something like FD-scale. (I leave that to master arists such as ALVAMA...) :-) @Colombamike: Very cool, thank you! I'll have to look at Admiral Schee...

Thanks for the comments! @Colombamike: All in all I suppose we kind of came to the same conclusions? - The single 2cm on the forward searchlight plattform was indeed removed by early 45, apparently because of poor firing-arcs. - I am not entirely sold on the 4x2 2cm's underneath the fwd rangefinder....

Interesting and well done!

I did notice that your "bloated Panzerschiffe" (that's supposedly how Adm. Raeder called the designs) have a weaker belt armour of ~ 170mm compared to the intended 220mm. Is that done intentionally to reduce weight for the incorporation of the Diesels and the third turret?

Hi,

I've made a new drawing of the "Zenker" Battlecruiser design:

Amazing work! I love your attention to detail and the excellent shading esp. on the sails.
