Will the Heligoland-class BBs be featured anytime soon? Great drawings, all of them...I'm more of a WWII German guy, so it's nice to learn about their predecessors.

Any chance for a Graf Zeppelin LZ-127 or one of how LZ-131 would've looked?

Also: what font did you use for the name and registry number?

Very nicely done...IMHO the UFO's a little over-the-top, but the H45 itself epitomized that term, so I guess it all works out. :D

Great job...nice to see her finished! Or does she still need the railings and stuff done to her for completion?

Better idea...since the U.S. Navy has a Submarine School, why shouldn't the Kriegsmarine have the same thing? Name the Kriegsmarine's Submarine School after Donitz.

Thoughts?

Just thought of a couple more: Bernhard Rogge and Karl Donitz. And what about naming one of the 1950s-era big ships after the most famous raider of them all, Atlantis?

How about naming ships after naval heroes? I don't know if they were Nazis or not, but how about big ships with names like Gunther Prien and Otto Kretschmer ? And if Bismarck 's cruise was successful and she eventually made it home in this timeline, ships with names like Gunther Lutjens and Ernst Li...

So we'll know what's under the dome in March 2012 when H45 makes her entrance at WrestleMania 28 to face The Rock (AKA The Great One, AKA The People's Champion)?

Sorry...couldn't resist! Seriously, your H45 is quite impressive...can't wait to see what's under the dome!

The H45 was (sadly) not a realistic design to begin with...the blast force of a 31.5-inch gun would be incredibly powerful, and no human could feasibly stand on the deck of a warship when something like that was firing. The IJN's Yamato -class BBs had mere 18.1-inch guns (I used the word 'mere' beca...
