The sort of masterwork I've come to expect. As usual, I've learned a lot from the accompanying text.

At this scale, as far as I'm concerned it's a perfect drawing. There's nothing to add, and nothing to remove.

It's remarkable how developmental ships were in this era, that a class of half-sisters might not even have the same number of shafts!

A very nice rendering, if somewhat non-standard. I like the shadows on the navigation lights in particular, and the screw is maybe the best variable-pitch unit I've seen. I think I would render antennas and ECM arrays somewhat differently, though. The VHF and especially the long HF whips are general...

I'm still not sold on the prop shafts. Here's the builders plans of Midway in '87. I find it hard to believe they would have changed the prop set up in the SCB upgrades, but who knows? What source do you have for this? Some years ago, I toured Midway in San Diego and noted with some surprise that a...

I think I would use a more rail-like color on the parts of the HF fan and associated rigging which overlaps the ship. Right now, the light gray jumps out in a way which probably isn't representative of real life.

I'll wait for more learned comments from others. Other than that, it looks fine to me :)

A welcome addition. I have great respect for those patient and diligent enough to draw carriers. I'll take a closer look later.

More like a Tarawa, I'd say--the three Mk 45skis are notable :)

More fine entries!

Exploring a concept to see why it is good or bad is an important teaching tool. I wouldn't read much more into it than that.

A marvelous concept and drawing. You've really outdone yourself; this might be my favorite production out of all of the design challenges. The frigate-class sonar is a curious decision to me, justifiable on the basis of using a Perry combat system, but IIRC either the loss of ASROC justified the rem...
