Especially within the context of the beginner section, it would be helpful to know what you've changed. For example, the LHA-8 drawing is pretty busy. What comments should we be giving you, and what comments should we be giving the original author?

I am highly intrigued by this challenge. Pondering a mission seems like the obvious first step :)

The truss structures supporting the aircraft cranes are sort of interesting.

There's an inconsistency in the secondaries--in the top view the middle mounts have barrels overhanging the outer mounts, while they do not interfere in the side view.

It is remarkable how abrasive some people can be. Maybe ban all of the obnoxious smileys and force everyone to communicate like an adult (or see if they're able).

David, it's quite an attractive rendition, although you've got some stray purple masking color in the top view in the secondary battery.

One might get the impression the Russians had more minesweepers than most navies had mines :)

An excellent rendition. May I ask what is your source for the below-the-waterline details? I find the location of the roll stabilizers to be surprisingly high, and the shape of the sonar dome also seems a little strange (very deep for its length).

It takes a certain deft hand to draw thoughtful, sensible, recognizable missile ships in both the 1960s-1980s aesthetic and the modern low-observable style, without looking like you're merely aping a real-life navy's evolution. You are one of the masters of that art. The designs, the drawings, the e...

I like the novelty factor of saying "actually, this personal design is underloaded with combat systems".

Ah, I see the sponsoned SPG-51 now. 2x2 is definitely better than 2x1, but not as good as 4x1. You'd tend to expect the threat to come along a single axis, and the Tico arrangement is definitely not ideal (it's worth noting that CGN-42 and the CSGN both would have had a 4x1 arrangement of SPG-62). S...
