Thank you Colombamike for your input. Some of the things you marked are indeed missing. As you know (probably) my main interest are merchant ships, and this one was the first warship (of a sort) I did for nearly 10 years. I will update my drawing of course.

In 1940 during the German occupation of Norway the Kriegsmarine took over two merchant ship building at the Moss shipyard. The two ships Rio X and Rio Y were completed as motherships for small 11m mine disposal boats, and were used to clear mines for U-Boats and other warships from the Norwegian coa...

In 1939 the Norwegian shipping line of Øivind Lorentzen A/S Sobral ordered two ships from the Moss shipyard, both ships were to be named with the Rio names. The two ships were captured on the stokes during the German occupation of Norway in 1940 and completed as mine support vessels and named MRS-25...

A great drawing to be sure, of an interesting little (comparatively speaking of course) ship.
I hope also to see the Szent Istvan, as she was a little different.

An older ship, which was also used on the Far-East run between Northern Europe and the Far East. The Swedish ship Japan was built in Great Britain in 1911 for the Swedish East Asia company. The Japan and her sister ship Ceylon were the first new built ships for the company, which till then used seco...

Incredible work. I like it as it seems good to me. Maybe there are some issues with the shading, but, shading at SB had progressed so much, many artists take thier own path in many ways.
All in all the drawing looks good, it represents the France and I hope Norway will follow soon.

Thank you
As for the black painted stern, I really don't the answer for it, but it was common for British built merchant ships of the 1950's and as late as 1960's. It may have to do with British experience in WW2 regards to noise reduction (?) or visibility when facing U-Boats (?)
