There is a debate about the Sea Dart/ Ikara dual-purpose launcher over at Secretproject.com in relation to the 1962 Escort Cruiser design. I know CanisD did an Admiral Class based carrier on his never-were website and I've had much the same thoughts lately like rifleman.

Looks good but my only concern is that the nose is too long, for a carrier-based plane that long nose is going to give the pilot problems on landing. There might be scope to move the engine a little further back.
