The drawings are quite fine and bring back a lot of memories of operating with Okie Boat on WESTPACs. We get a number of FTs and GMs from the other Talos ships and the ones from Okie Boat really loved that ship. Pity Topeka and Providence were not converted to Talos but one can understand the interest in getting Terrier into the fleet. It would have been interesting to see the Terrier ships updated with new FCS

You would be able to take Springfield's system for the forward system and do a 49B update. Since there would probably be no more systems being built this would be the best source...plus the ship itself would be a good source of other spares for machinery, etc. Hmm...the Galveston was the single-ende...

The site usslittlerock.org has a pretty good basic description of the system. It also described the four kills credited to Talos: 'The first ever "kill" of a hostile aircraft by a missile fired from a ship occurred on May 23, 1968.
