Didn't Ruler require an active sonar combined with Type 175?

Also what is the diagonal box on the side of B turret?
I've seen something similar on the 4 inch mountings of the Chilean Almirante class destroyers. Is it a rocket-flare launcher?

Slight correction. When I said "sketches of Project Seahawk designs", I meant to type "sketches of machinery for Project Seahawk designs".

Within the above document, I found a sketch of the steam-powered FY67 DDG on page 257. This document also contains some sketches for a number of Project Seahawk designs.
