On summer of 1940, all greek warships were painted with various patterns of camouflage as the inteligence infos regarding Italian movements and italian agressive actions into the Greek airspace and seas was increasing day by day. Here we have a medium size Dromon up to 40m , with two masts and a Latin sail. Two lines of oars per side and the classic casttles forward and amidships where the crossbow, catapults and Greek Fire Siphons were staged.

There are some photos of the ship with the Colonial style painting, uncertain which year/years...but most probably after 1900 and till the adoption of Grey
