Why such a high freeboard? I mean, it has kind of a bulky look for a scout cruiser.

Well, if it helps ease the tension of your current issue, your BB has a nice blend of 20's tech and in the case of your aft mast, a great futuristic look. Good luck with your hard drive!

Maybe, although I remember the Japanese had some problems integrating the mast(I think) of one of their ships as a part of the crane. Proved to be a little strenuous on the mast. It may work for a funnel, but it also may not.

Well I don't know anything about the history or design of that hull, but I do know that once the armor leaves the vessel, even with the helicopter gone, that thing will have a major shift in the center of gravity.
