Thanks everyone! If only I had the money for one... How much for a tour with dive included? Probably a few million split 20 ways? maybe we could start up a Shipbucket cruise line? ;) I would be quite happy with a place round the NSW/QLD border. West coast for me - Kimberley in the dr...

The Balladonia class were oddballs though in that they weren't designed to counter any specific ships, but rather as platforms for 12" guns that had become redundant once it was d...

Thank you all :) I would agree that the Belladonia class are better than the Graf Spee. But it is difficult to tell. When were the ships built? (laid down, completed), what sort of armour scheme did the ships have? What sort of date are the 12" from, range, size of shell. HMRS Balladonia was laid do...

And back to WW2 content, the 'new and improved' Balladonia class large cruiser: http://shipbucket.com/wiki/images/7/77/Balladonia_Class_Cruiser_HMRS_Balladonia_1942.png HMRS Balladonia as seen in action against Maddelenian forces in 1942. http://shipbucket.com/wiki/images/2/21/Balladonia_Class_Cruis...

Thanks! I'm still curious about your radar fit. Two air-search radars are mentioned. Is the small elliptic antenna up top the short-range 3D search, as a backup for the PAR? If so, is it only that, a short-range low-power second-tier search radar for when the PAR doesn't have to be fired up or there...
