Something always bugged me with my Broome class frigate, never quite looked right, so I decided to redraw it. Initially this was just meant to be a few minor tweaks and switch out some parts so that it reflects the recycling of parts and weapons between ship classes in the AU (Esperance-Broome class...

Rightio, attempt no.3 at the Esperance class ESPERANCE CLASS In the early 1960s, the RWN drew up requirements for a new class of frigate, with a decision being reached in 1963 to purchase 6 Garcia-class frigates from the US. However, these plans were cancelled the following year in an act of protest...

I'm considering just ditching the Mk 22 at this point. I was worried about the effect it would have on top weight, and was endlessly comparing weights for it and other launchers, hence why I lowered it slightly from the hangar roof. Bit too much of a hassle

The Mk 42 was considered too heavy for the Leander hull (the twin 4.5" was the upper limit of what it could handle), so I reasoned it would be here too, and considering I've placed the first of the class coming into service in 1969, it predates the Mk 45 or the Mk 8 4.5". Also, its kinda simple to j...

Alright, I'd like to get everyone's opinion on this before I continue with each refit. Does this go towards fixing the issues, for the most part? https://i.imgur.com/HPMAWkn.png Also, if you're wondering why its 1972/75, that's actually because the first three, from 1969, are designed and launched f...

The Van Speijk/Ahmad Yani class had their steam plant replaced with diesels, so I wouldn't think it as totally out of the realms of realism, and SMART S and SPG-49 was modeled off the Karel Doorman's mix of SMART-S and LW-08.

ESPERANCE CLASS FRIGATE In the early 1960s, the RWN drew up requirements for a new class of frigate, preferably equipped with recently emerging guided missiles. By 1963, it had been decided to purchase 6 of the new Brooke-class frigates under construction for the US Navy. However, these plans were c...
