Excellent drawing of a cute little OPV that I've always been fond of. I might shade the boat bay a little more aggressively.

Other things:
- single shaft, possible, but today we use more than one shaft on a big warship. important to have redundancy.
- Not enough funnel and air-intake for engines
It's a two-screw skeg hullform. I would happen to know because I am the one that drew it.

One wonders if this rather more cramped arrangement would have as long an active career in the postwar US Navy.

I've said many times before that the pinnacle of the craft had been reached, that there was no more improvement to be made to the basic formula. Once again I am proven wrong.

Vossiej drew Whidbey Island some years ago, although I think this drawing is of more modern quality.

I'm very happy to see this finally represented. One of my favorites, and it's an excellent drawing.

How solid is your sourcing on the paint scheme of the ship's boats? I can't specifically lock down 1963, but none of the color photos I've seen from the 1960s show haze gray.

Nice work. I think it would take on a little extra depth with shading around the anchor, on and under the life rafts, and on the various satcom domes.

It's an interesting exercise and your to-scale missiles are well executed, but I wasn't personally proposing that we draw missiles to scale. I think the historical chunky and overlength versions are more appropriate for Shipbucket, which (IMHO) kind of grew out of recognition guide styles.
