[quoteThe problem that prevented me of placing the probe above the roof are the escape hatches of the crew... I´m not sure how they can interfere in a evacuation... Safety first!][/quote] Flight engineer and navigator? Change the bailout path to the sides or delete the two unneeded crew. As the BUFF...

A nuclear event shouldn't be too hard to cook up; there were some close calls IIRC in the real events, involving supercriticality experiments. "Tickling the dragon's tail." At Los Alamos only. Those were deliberate attempts to nail down the gun design and prevent fizzles. They would play basketball...

In the semi-extended position. I* did not modify the tail. (The RAF wouldn't.)

In regards to: More bombs were not available for the time being after a mysterious explosion had laid waste to the Oak ridge facility, killing 30.000. All other facilities had to be closed down till the reason was determined (the official explanation was German sabotage; it took the Americans till 1...

As usual I have my reasons for my suggestions. The plumbing modification is minimal, there is a video camera and steer cue system already existent. the boom could simply pole extend from a sleeve into a drogue to use the USN/RAF drogue and probe system. The Tornado probe might not work. It is a rat...

With all due respect, the Spruance class hulls are lineally descended from the Atlantas and Juneaus of WW II, via way of the Leahys. That should tell you something about what I know about the American navy was and what it is. As for hull forms, take a good close look at the USS Nevada (Foreriver Shi...

http://i60.tinypic.com/2uel2zp.png Here we go with the USS Vermont again. There are some subtle changes. Until I can get some feedback on this latest experiment in shading, I want to talk about why the list of designs look so similar to each other. I'm going for a national shipbuilding style that f...

Why not show us what you mean Tobius? You want it in mathematics? It's another man's art and he asked for a few suggestions. Unless I get his direct permission, I'm not going to monkey with his work in illustration when he can either accept or reject suggestions based on his own judgment. I have en...

Although it wouldn’t be my choice for a RAF strategic bomber... (personally I think that with the SSBNs there are no real need for them), but if budget wasn’t a problem, as the main opponent (& target) is much closer, I think range is not so critical as a fast response, so I would go for something ...
