The 'Ludendorff' is only effective if there are no superior enemies. It does not have the guns to fight a fullsize BB or even a BC. The airwing can't go on a fullsize carrier, its airwing with about 30 aircraft allover is not large enough. Equipped with superior jets it might equal larger airwings l...

The idea was to hit a couple of targets over a distance meant secure until this moment. Sure it will not work until the V1M is guided anyhow on its last mile. Video control isn't that far in 1946 so someone with visual contact on the targets has to guide it by radio. A group of well hidden subs coul...

You would be right. If this wasn't the V1 M . It is signifcantly faster (about 100 km/h) than its landbased predecessor. And it can be guided by radio signals. So a well hidden agent or submarine would guide the missile on their last mile. Sure, the signals can get disturbed, the guiding agent or su...

Operation Sealion was to become reality next year and the Kriegsmarine was hastily building ships like never before, older ships were refitted to stand against t...

The Brommy-class CAs were equipped with twelve MAN 9-cylinder V-configuration double acting two-stroke diesel engines that were designed to provide a total of 165,000 shaft horsepower at 250 rpm (geared). The engines were arranged in four sets of three, each of which drove one of four shafts. The s...

The 1926 formed german airline Lufthansa had great plans for worldwide routes. Therefor airports, landing strips and fuel stations were needed. The Alvensleven was converted into a floating airfield. Would they be direct drive or diesel-electric which would allow for cruising and high performance engines?
