Do you know how many VLS cells the CGBL had? Regarding the MEU or CG V/VSTOL: [The United States Navy studied a cruiser alternative in the late 1980s] variously entitled a Mission Essential Unit (MEU) or CG V/STOL. In a return to the thoughts of the independent operations cruiser-carriers of the 19...

Odysseus if you want to draw the Forrest Sherman and its Barry (ASW) and John Paul Jones (AAW) sub classes then go for it. I'm full up on the Essex class carriers and won't start on finishing off and fixing up this Forrest Sherman until I finish my aircraft carrier job.

I believe there is a draw of the Forrest Sherman class DD as I've found a thread using the search engine of a mod of that drawing to a later ASW version (Barry class). But I can't find the original drawing which is by MConrads. Its not on the www.shipbucket.com at least not under the real designs/US...

Can't wait to see a 1980s/90s CVA-01. To add my two cents into the pit about the Phantom/Bucc replacement. Remember the CVA-01 isn't just constrained by the size of the elevators but also the Alaskan Highway which is an important part of how it moves aircraft around. Also the RNs Buccs will be much ...

What will happen to the RSAN after the reopening of the Suez Canal? There's no hostile naval power in the Southern Hemisphere, and definitely no navy able to field more than obsolete escorts and missile boats in Africa, and the need to protect the Cape's shipping routes is gone after Egypt moves fr...

i want to see the Carriers will be good. ;) Well I’m working away on the Oriskany draw to Bombhead standards so when it’s finished I’ll mod it to the Natal. Also on my to do list is the Independence class. Both will be pretty standard ships in RSAN service just with different paint jobs on the airc...

Just a though TH; you've got two flat-tops so they will both need some support from excorts, both aa and asw; even allowing for both not being at sea at the same time, I had always seen the Rhodesia (Independence class) being basically discarded by the fleet once the Natal (Essex arrives). She is w...

I’m more than happy to finish off Bill’s Oriskany side view (hardly anything to be done) and combine it with my top view (about 33% done). Because the Essex’s have not had much coverage and the great new standard set by the RN carrier drawings I intend on making this a complete study. In order of sc...

TH the Roberts class monitor was done by Gunship recently. Thanks I actually noticed that drawing last night. I've gathered up a lot of additional drawings from the 'upload' threads in the last few days and that was one of them. It isn't uploaded on the main website but its a good start for my AU. ...
