As erik_t pointed out, it's just dickwaving. Stuff like this happened all the time in the past. Blame our current political climate if people are making a big deal out of it. An actual attack would be less obvious. IIRC the fighter had no combat load-out and Modern fighters don't "strafe" modern war...

I have made some minor changes to the panel lines, but for the most part they are similar to what I'm intending. Themajor components are blocked out by the large panels in the center row (engines, reactor, cargo, crew) with the long narrow panels between them representing bulkheads. The side panels ...

I do most of my drawings on Linux using Aesprite . An old version is available for free on the Ubuntu repositories, and you can get the latest version by buying or compiling it yourself from the source code on github . (I hope this dosn't violate the rule against advertising, this is free open sourc...

My color scheme right now is actually the solarized palette. It's designed for text editing rather than pixel art. I chose it because it looks futuristic and has offwhite tones. I could probably do a lot better color wise. As for the three views, I traced over this lineart of the X-43. My flat color...

Redrew the masts with a focus on consistency rather than direct tracing. I decided to make the main masts 4 pixels wide and use three pixels for the fore and aft ones.

I decided to make the front part of the main mast straight, not sure if that looks good or not.

Making good progress indeed. Just a note on the design: you can thin down the mast legs, since they appear on the model to be simple tubes. They will look cleaner with all vertical parts reduced to 3 pixels wide, or at least with a regular thickness. Yeah, I'm finding that tracing the lineart direc...

Making progress. World of warships is a great reference when backed up by other sources. The detailed 3d models come in handy.

Is self bumping frowned upon or should I edit my previous post instead?

Oh I like these colors, should I make a gpl file for them? Is there a standard palette of non paint colors for details like windows and such? Also, will there be one for the IJN next? The shipbucket illustrations look very pale compared to the dark blue/grey seen in photographs and on models. Not to...

Not sure how appropriate this is for here. Some may find it funny, others offensive. Republica de plátanos is a small country in south america between Brazil and Venezuela. It was originally Republica da liberdade when it declared it's independence from the Brazilian empire but after being ruled by ...
