Well, maybe such a boom could work, but it would definitly be not practical. Let's just assume she could carry just half the amount of water as Evergreen's 747 Supertanker, which would be about 35.000 litres or 9.200 gallons, you would need a loooong stretch of calm water to fill her up. When I was a child, back in the 70s, my hometown was part of a NATO low level flying area. Starfighters and Phantoms could be heard and seen almost every day, and especially the F-4 with her thick black smoke trails and her deafening sound really seemed to rip the skies apart when a pack of two cam...
