@Timothy: Thank you. That saves my time.

To all the others, I'm glad you are all so exited about my drawing.
To be true, I'm exited myself as I did not expected my first drawing to come out that good.

While I'm looking for good reference pictures of the travelling crane for the USS Pigeon, I started drawing another interesting auxillary of the US Navy. USS Safeguard ARS-50, nowadays USNS Safeguard T-ARS-50. http://i1147.photobucket.com/albums/o552/ArkadiVale/ARSSafeguard-1.png It might take a bit...

I further raised the aft superstructure a bit to eleminta a flaw in the boom conection. Also finished the radar masts (not the radar. Don't know yet wha...

And I might consider a 2-4 split. Yes, it generates a double black line, but if you shade on side that might not happen. That seemed to be a good idea. I made it that way and recently finished the hydraulics. I am not sure about the right position of them on the booms, so I made three version. http...

Thanks for the positve feedbacks. Makes me forget the headaches I have while trying to do the crane system. BTW has anybody an Idea how I should draw the hydraulics? http://i1147.photobucket.com/albums/o552/ArkadiVale/Hydraulics.jpg If I make the thin part three pixels wide, the big one will be five...
