I'm not calling for drawing taildraggers in tail-down position or anything like that (and it wasn't the question). After all, there is nothing that would make it physically impossible to fly level with landing gear down and I saw plenty of drawings of them in level (flight) position. Nor am I advoca...

Well, I don't mean it's a formally written standard (because I don't think FD scale has them at all), but some 95% of the aircraft in FD scale that have retractable gear are drawn with that gear retracted.

Btw. - just out of curiosity - why a standard for FD aircraft is to draw them with retracted gear? (I'm not complaining, it's just interesting)
