Charybdis-Nice drawing. My only comment is that Wasp would not have had TBFs at the time she ferried Spitfires to Malta. Her air group in April 1942 contained TBDs and they were left in Scotland for the trip.

It may be a reflector for some kind of line-of-sight communications system.
