25% might be a little bit too hopeful. Also, if this vessels was also made in the 30's, then you might want a little bit more space for the bridge.

You have a straight bow, or am I misunderstanding you? Unless the hull was built in Germany during the 30s, there was no real reason for that kind of bow shape during the 40s'.

Then you might want to add a little bit of curve (sheer?) to the bow. It looks very antiquated for the time period.

Well, four things. Why are there surface guns mounted near the island, on the flightdeck? The lessons learned from the Lexington and Saratoga are the reason they had there 8"/55s replaced by AA weapons, neither of which served very well firing across the flightdeck. The other is a sort of "imbalance...

5"/51s were developed as surface weapons, with a low angle. Not suitable for AAW. Other than that, it is still a great design.

By the way, if you want additional heavy AA weapons, the 5"/25s would make a great weapon for an inter-war period battleship design like this.

You might want to add some kind of protection against waves on the aft portion of the ship. Since you have a similar concept, try looking at WWII-era LSDs or modern amphibious assault ships. A common theme would have to be an enclosed well deck, with only a stern gate to let water in. This vessel, e...

One problem: The D-class would have to be reclassified as light cruisers in the middle of the war, as the Fantasque class were also, carrying guns barely 6" in diameter. If it were upgraded to 7.5", then they would become really light heavy cruisers.

Would there be anyone willing to try and tackle the Northrop XB-35/XB-49? Sorry if it has been requested before, but I don't have the time to go through all 39 pages of the thread. I myself have tried, but my aircraft drawings leave much to be desired. The drawing would go to help my AU. EDIT: If po...
