I understand and look forward to feedback. The hull color was so dark that I had to compensate for shading, the only other computer safe color being lead (basically flat black). Can you see the paint weathering and inconsistencies on the upper forward hull ok?

I may have to stick with this particular 40mm, the others will not fit. On Drum, her 40mm was custom fit by Mare Island to fit in the would-be 20mm section. This means the mount is significantly shorter than conventional mounts.
This is the detail I have completed on the conning tower. Note that Drum was unique in that her original conning tower was mashed with components off a Balao boat to repair her bridge in 1943.
