Greetings! After a long period of work, other responsibilities, and health issues - I can finally return to Shipbucket (at least part-time). I thought I'd take another stab at HMS Neptune before returning to the War of the Americas AU - where I am planning an extensive rework (background history and...

Greetings! Added some superstructure, turret, and rigging detail from the drawings Garlicdesign posted. Attempted some rudimentary hull shading as well. https://www.dropbox.com/s/yb51dlucpckkntj/BB%20Neptune%201911%20%285%29.png?dl=1 Real Design is a challenge, but a welcome one. I will endeavor to ...

Not too sure where I'll be going with this drawing from here. I might try some hull shading. Still working on my AU as well, h...

Thanks BB1987!

I had looked for Bezobrazov's auxiliary boat drawings when it was first mentioned, but was unable to find them - this will definitely come in handy when I update the drawing.

For further reference - where did you find this?

Cheers,

Thank you for your comments and suggestions, Heuhen. "Softened" the superstructure where a flat plane relative to the viewer joins an angled plane - I like this approach. Added portholes at conning tower structure (thank you for putting up the high-resolution photo - better detail than the images I ...

Greetings, Firstly, I'd like to thank everyone for their critiques; I have made some changes based on these comments; new gun barrels, smoothing out the hull, etc. I have eliminated shading from the hull for two reasons; First, I do not have the proper references for the Neptune's underwater hull (s...

Greetings! Yes, aircraft carriers are on the table. The time during the War of the Americas (1922-1925) was one of early experimentation with carriers and carrier aircraft. However, there is no Washington Naval Treaty as in our timeline, so no carrier conversions like the Lexington class or Japan's ...

Thank you for your comments Tempest, I am glad you are enjoying this AU – I’ve certainly enjoyed creating it. I would like to address your questions: Washington DC: The situation with DC is simply one of “location, location, location”. When the Secession Treaty was signed, one of the provisions in i...
