A first sketch

There will be a large helopad aft with belowdeck hangar. The 120mm TAK is rather small though, I used the same space needed for a gun and SeaDart on a Type 42 on each end to fit it. 5000tons might be a bit small....

- I think it is more wise to design a replacement for the elderly DDGs and cruisers in the mid 70s instead of the Mannerheims of the mid 80s. - She would be the first SeaDart ship in my navy. - Her size have to be moderate due to budget and demands on littoral performance. I might go up to 150m as t...

I am currently redarwing/ designing a fleetdestroyer to replace some ageing ww2 airdefencecruisers aswells the final generation of gunnery AA-destroyers in my AU. The ship is a dubbelended ship with either SM-1 or SeaDart, she is suppost to handle four missiles in the air at the same time and give a...

The RB08 only went to sea with the HMS Halland in 1967, replaceing the the trails missile Rb315 which where cancelled/ withdrawn in 1961. The Coastal Artillery had the RB08 in service until the mid 1990s when the RB15Ka went operational. If I recall correctly the Harpoon discussion started in the ea...

3) I've decided to utilize a simplified mack-thing with angled exhaust pipes leading the fumes well past the AN/SPG-55 directors and supporting a tall lattice mast with an SPS-52 on top. I also resolved to retain the LW-02, since the Dutch actually did this too! I also lengthened the forward stack ...

The cruiser has dark red/ wine red underwater hull. They where built after italian bought drawings that later where reworked in Sweden by Eriksbergs Mekaniska. The drawings where bought at the same time as Sweden bought four destroyers and four MTBs from italy in 1940. They where intented as flottil...

Hmmm....this version seems very unrealistic... The C-in-C of the RSwN had plans for modernizing her along the lines of the dutch cruisers by replaceing the aft turrets with Terrier SAMs. There is drawings of the in swedish wararchives. The plans never left the drawingboard. She was in need of a grea...

Well, I comment the drawing later when I can see it properly. hmm...I was about to draw all swedish cruisers from Örnen 1897 to Göta Lejon 1946. Aswell as neverwheres. I got some good pictures to work with. I strongly recommend the book 'Kryssare' by Curt Borgenstam and Per Insulander and the movie ...
