Colo, you're simply amazing when it comes to detail, and accuracy, and I love your camo schemes, but...if you compare the USN section of SB, to the RN one, there is a real difference, and most of that, I think can simply be attributed to the shading. The old style is just rather flat in comparison.

Well, I was meaning when you get your computer working again. Otherwise, I think the vessel looks very good, and that I prefer your style of shading to Colo's.

One thing that might be useful with this class is to display a modified version with the boats and other clutter left off, so we can see what's going on near the stern. While I have no doubt that this drawing is accurate, all the junk back there just turns it into a haze of pixels. I know I can't be...

Something I've had brewing in the back of my mind since I first saw Hood's original work. It's intended to be a contemporary of the Sabre, though I'm betting probably isn't going to be quite as nimble, falling somewhere between the F-84 and F-86 in performance.

I did briefly consider that, but dismissed it on the grounds of the probable rarity in which the missiles would need to fire at that low of an angle, directly astern, though the pedestal mightn't be a bad idea just regards the magazine.

I thought Crotale had an on-mount designator. Looks like you're right, since I have found older ships carrying the Crotale without dedicated designators. I has assumed that the on-mount antenna was only for the CLOS guidance and that an external radar was needed for target acquisition and tracking,...
