Thanks for the photoscan from Friedmans Novice, Unfortunately it is of one of the 'D's with the hangar below the bridge with the fly off ramp over the 'B' six inch. It is also 'as built' with the 2x3" AA. I have taken a couple of features from that scan that seem to be generic to the 'D's and added ...

Thanks for your comments Hood, Actually the aircraft are all supposed to have the 13.2mm Browning machine guns. I'm hoping the much bigger round than the 303 will cause more damage. It was something I read from the Battle of Britain reports where the Hurricanes and Spitfires would spray their target...

Following on from the Nelson and County class cruisers comes the alternate Illustrious class aircraft carriers. From various discussions I have been in, or things I have read pointed to the Armoured deck classes being built as they were because the FAA did not possess the aircraft to defend them. Wi...

I have made a few changes,

1. Moved funnel 16ft further forward, now 72 feet between funnels.
2. Removed twin 40mm from A turret and moved to behind wave shield, one on either side.
3. Fixed mistake from side to top view where radio shack showed on side but I had missed on overhead.

Thanks for your comments guys, KHT: The funnels should be fine, the area of the funnels themselves is greater than the Towns/Crown Colonys which had 80,000shp. JSB: The current layout is BR/ER/BR. 80,000shp on two shafts is fine. The Mogador type destroyers had over 100,000shp on two shafts. The lon...

The best place I could see a supergun working is somewhere like the Straits of Gibraltar where the supergun can reach the African shore. "Pay through the nose our exorbitant toll fees, or we sink your ship". You would probably need a range of guns for close in work out to supergun range. You do not ...

If you are going to build quad turret cruisers it would be an acceptable thought that your battleships might also have quad turrets. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/oe1w06e7had3986/HMS_NelRod_8x16.PNG?dl=0 The major concern shown by the IRC workgroup was that the turrets were too big for the shi...

Howdy Ad, thanks for your query,

I have added a turret view with barbette ring and expected gun depth into turret. As far as I can tell it should be enough.
