HMS M.27 shared engine design with M.26. Her main gun was also transfered to the Western Front. She received a BL 6" Mk.II from HMS Redoubtable, which was later replaced by a Mk.VII. This shows the later mount. http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Lurian/Shipbucket/SmallMonitorsGB/mon_m27_1918.png In 191...

HMS M.26 was propelled by four Bolinder 2-Cylinder Semi-Diesel Engines providing a total of 560 bhp. As in M.25 her main gun was diverted to the Western Front. In its place she mounted a BL 7.5" Mk.III gun previously reserved for the battleship HMS Triumph. I know she had four propeller shafts, but...

HMS M.25 surrendered her main gun (9.2" Mk. VI) to the defense of the Western Front, while assigned to the Dover Patrol. She received a temporary outfit of five QF 6pdr Mk.I Hotchkiss guns, untill more suitable armament could be provided. http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Lurian/Shipbucket/SmallMonito...

HMS M.21 and M.22 were each fitted with a unique (within class) set of triple expansion steam engines, rated at 600 ihp and 650 ihp respectively. Note the painted bow wave and the Red Ensign flying off the main mast. http://www.majhost.com/gallery/Lurian/Shipbucket/SmallMonitorsGB/mon_m21_1915.png

I have to ask, what's a semi-diesel engine? I've wondered about that too. In short it's an engine that, as oposed to a "real" diesel engine, does not solly rely on the compression cycle to ignite the fuel. The type is also known as a Hot Bulb Engine. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Semi-diesel_e...

HMS M.19 and later M15-class monitors were designed to mounted the BL 9.2” Mk.VI, taken off the retiring Edgar-class cruisers. Their main armament allowed for a different upper deck structure, with the bridge further aft. She was fitted with the same Bolinder plant previously employed in M.18. http...

HMS M.18 was a near sister to M.17. She had the same armament, but was powered by two Bolinder 4-Cylinder Semi-Diesel engines, rated at 480 bhp. This necessitated change to the engine room layout, which becomes very apparent around her funnel. M.18 was the only ship with this configuration. http://...

Nice job, do you plan on doing more? :) There will be more for sure! These ships were quite diverse and underwent some interesting changes during their lifetime... Although the underwater hull doesn't look quite right. I would suggest to check out the web-site of the Polish magazine "Okrety Wojenne...
