Ro-Po Max has very kindly allowed me to create a rendition of the planned Hunter-Class frigate using his excellent Type 26 drawing. I've attempted to employ some of the same methods of shading that they've used so as to make the modifications appear as seamless as possible. The exercise has been car...

Fair dinkum, that sure is something! Any chance of a rendition of the Australian and Canadian variations?

Still not sure as to whether I should do my AU redux as a new thread or not. I might create a page for it on the wiki instead. Anywho, I've redone the Shark class patrol boats: 'SHARK'-CLASS PATROL BOAT Comprising the other half of RWN Patrol Force, the 'Shark' class of patrol boats are named for se...

I'm thinking of doing a full re-tread of this AU, considering how far my skills have come in terms of drawing since I began it. Everything bar maybe the frigates will be redone, and organised more logically I should think. Anywho, before I do that, I figured I let loose for judgement a redo of the P...

Wow wee have there been some ripper submissions so far. Well, here's my go at it, first FD scale drawing I've done from scratch as well. I've based it off some ideas I got from an academic paper on the use of thrust-vectoring for STOL operations. WAC/Hawker Siddley Thresher Whilst the Westralian def...

Congrats BB1987, and every one who took part! That was an immensely enjoyable challenge, and there were some absolute killer ideas shown in some designs, very interesting overall, and I can't wait to see what the next challenge brings!

Thought I'd give this one a crack, especially considering as it aligns with something I had planned for my AU anyway. There's probably a few things wrong here and there, but I tried to restrain myself from anything too ambitious a-la Esperance class (if anyone remembers the problems I had with that!...

I certainly see where you're coming from there, and I have a half finished drawing using the Mk13 in place of the gun, but I didn't particularly enjoy it compared to the versions you see here. Maybe the RWN saw the need for shore bombardment following operations in the Malay peninsula? Besides, I wa...

I thoroughly enjoy this AU and how grounded it seems, and these frigates look like great little additions, very well done!

I think that there was a lot more emphasis on ASW in the competition than the RAN gave out, becuase that is besically THE part where the T26 really shone compared to the other designs. Otherwise it would have made more sense to go with the Hobart derived design. From what I gathered the RAN made it...
