Well, I started from scratch and tried to be as accurate as possible ... I was just aiming for an modern drawing, initially, with the new weapons/sensors fits the T23s are receiving as they get updated, but there's certainly a difference between my version and his - given the known length is 133m an...

that's fairly cryptic ... I'm not sure if you're referring to the length...? I thought it looked a bit long and slim but that seems the appropriate dimensions. Type 23 is 133m long, and the drawing above ... https://www.dropbox.com/s/lr7e7e8kuk00i7d/FF%20F239%20Richmond.png?dl=1 https://www.dropbox....

An updated Type 23 - HMS Westminster . Westminster has just come out of refit (late '16); she is the first Type 23 to be fitted with the new Sea Ceptor air-to-air missile system, replacing Sea Wolf, which has been in service with the Royal Navy since 1979. The main visual difference is the lack of t...

I'll wait until she commissions properly to update it - no doubt there will be enough photos to refine all...

An updated version of something I drew a long while back. Also been a long while since I drew anything at all. However, made slightly easier since they've actually built the thing now (at vast expense), which was sort of the push needed to finish this. Totally worth putting the flight deck on the ba...

They're great drawings Gunship , I definitely need to work on my detailing more! The T26 design seems to be changing all the time, so I think the minor variations are just problems with the sources all being slightly different! It's cool to see someone else's drawing and compare/contrast, it'...

Hello, More modern RN stuff, sorry! Following on from the 2015 SDSR, the RN is getting eight 'high end' Type 26 ASW frigates and allegedly >5 new 'light' frigates (to save money). It seems reasonable to assume that the new light frigate will probably be a modified existing design, probably not from ...

Haha I'm not too concerned with criticism of the propellor ... I've always found them impossible to draw, that was just a go at it to see how it turned out. I drew it from scratch but I freely admit it's terrible! Anyway, I found this picture of the T45 prop (adjustable bolted propellor is wh...
