Hello everyone, has someone started a drawing of the Gato boat USS Drum? If not I am almost finished with my version depicting how she would have looked during her 14th war patrol. For details, I am Lucky enough to live close to were she rests, USS Alabama Memorial Park.

As for the 12 foot openings, I do believe you are mocking the 15 inch gun designs found on HMS Vanguard, they had a similar design and that "hole" was protected by slot armor directly attached to the chassis of the cannon.

Ok, that made no sense whatsoever in that the gun will be elevating in the opposite direction of the turret roof. Which "gun" are you referring to and how did you come up with "2 degrees of elevation." The cannons have approximately 55 degrees of elevation based of of this principle, ROOF SLOT ELEVATION SPACE!

Hahahahaha :lol: , I understand what you mean! The design is based off of both Iowa and Kirov designs. The empty space is due to the fact that I am still designing the superstructure and have not placed them. But thank you for labeling it as bicurious.
