yes the aircraft is capable of re entry, the entire bottom of the aircraft is covered in a reinforced carbon carbon, as for the bubble canopy the bubble cannerby is there so the pilot and co-pilot can see the surroundings better, and as for the fuel situation the entire front of the aircraft as well...

I think it looks fine considering that it's not designed to be a military aircraft of any sort I don't think it's obsolete for the time, this aircraft is basically a small shuttle designed to give 2 people down to a planet surface and back up again.
