I think all the Majestics had been completed up to the flight deck. Certainly Leviathan was cocooned to perserve her hull. Given the Colossous and Majestics used merchant scantlings I can't see the hulls standing up to cutting about even with a new strength deck put in. It's going to cost as much as...

I agree with Colo that the hull shading is a bit freeform compared to what is allowed in the guidelines. It's just the stern and bow that needs work with the standard two pixel wide shading.

Great work though and I second the motion for KGV. Vangaurd is one damn fine looking battleship.

A nice little design, might have proved adapatable and more effective than what we had. Of course the Treasury looks at that 76mm "do you really need that against Icelandic fishermen" and your back to the Castle. Looks pretty seaworthy too and a nice sized helipad too.

My eyes!! They buurrrn!! Why is my name on that top carrier? I can just make out what it was based on but really there is so little left of the original that its almost embarrasing to be associated with it. Sigh, Shipbucket is too well known methinks... The Hardenburgh looks identical to the origina...

The ship is larger than it needs to be. A battleship was never larger than it needed to be. The fact is even with bulky electronics and missile stowage a missle cruiser was far smaller than this with identical capabilties. Nothing larger than Long Beach is realistically needed. Maybe of you could pr...

Hmmm, the only English-language source about the 'Convertiplano' I can find that backs up that claim of 300 flights is Wikipedia. Most other offical Brazilian sites only claim ground-tests were achieved. The 'Convertiplano' sounds very much like a research hack being part Spitfire and with a US radi...

Looking better. A good looking ship no doubt, one of sleekest RN ships of her era (late war, early postwar).

Great work Bill. Shame about the base differences but getting those pixels right is hell. I guess ten people could draw the same ship and none of them would be identical.

That's one thing that makes Shipbucket special, talent and drawing skills plays a bigger part than some folks think it does.

That is a beauty! A tremendous piece of work. You must have worked hard. I can't find many faults and you've used the correct turrets and 5.25in turrets and everything. You've come a long way since you joined and this just tops the bill as my fave drawing of late (pushing even the Kirov aside). One ...
