In June 1912 SMS Moltke, SMS Stettin and SMS Bremen, as a cruiser division, made a goodwill visit to the United States. Back in 2018, when I first drew the series on Moltke, I wanted to draw him as he would have appeared at Hampton Roads, Virginia on 3rd June, but there is only one photo showing Mo...

Based on the pictures of PA 2 (ex- Hallebarde ) and the accompanying article by Stephan Brock - this is an impression of PA 2 as she would have appeared in 1944 with the German modifications. Precious few details of how these ships appeared in German service appear to have survived, though the AA a...

What do you think? It uses 6-50hp motors (controlled by VFD drives) with 24" overhead crane type wheels (railroad) and 6 idler wheels. These wheels would run on 4 rails to clear the barbett. A power track would supply power to mobile armored cover which at this time I'm thinking of using 9" armor. ...

@Garlicdesign The next ten were known as the Tatra-class. The Tatra batch-II have six 66mm (=> 2 on AA mounting ) Although these Tatra class ships look "very good" & balanced, in reality they were very uncomfortable for the 100+ sailors crew. Very crew-cramped (lack of berth & space-living for the c...

From what I understand is that the Re.2000 was used as a fighter, not as a scout, and that the ships may have carried one, and two Ro.43s. I have yet to see a source stait completely one, or the other. Problem with the Re.2000 was that it was entirely a land based aircraft. Be Much More serious, in...

@Karle94:
- Your forget the 4 single (2 on each side) 120mm starshell gun amid-ships on all your drawings
- By 1940: IMAM Ro.43 aircrafts carried...=>replaced in 1942/1943 by Reggiane Re.2000...
- Yours drawings look 75/85 % finished (lot of Small details lacking)
