Ok! Now understand what you mean. There still a lot of job to do. While hull is based on white (light grey) and black (very dark grey) I took sails, ropes and masts from Vespucci without paying attention to their colors. I'll reduce to a couple of hues the ropes: darker brown for the ropes of the ma...

OK guys, this color palette you've posted is COMPLETELY NOT ACCEPTABLE FOR SHIPBUCKET. Please see the tutorial here for how to do coloration! Last warning! Sorry Colosseum! It is an old palette with some special colors. The grey are completely wrong. PS maybe I am not understanding correctly what d...

After SS Manhattan I need to relax with a small gem: here is the (WIP) Palinuro, the second training ship of the Italian Navy. A classic barquentine built in 1934 in France and named Commandant Louis Richard. Acquired by Italy after the ww2 was completely restored and adpted to be a training ship. h...

Place them in AU for now. I would ask to change the topic name into "Ships from movies" and use it for future drawings. (I will add the Yellow submarine) BTW I remenber in the old forum a modification of my Andrea Doria into the "Ghost ship": how is possible to recover that drawing into the new for...

I guess that Gollevainen refers mainly to the "correct naming" of the ship and of the file. This ship should have the prefix "BB" before its name on the drawing. The files should be named BB Dante Alighieri 1910 or BB Dante Alighieri 1913 BB Dante alighieri 1923 This ship was launched in 1910 but I ...

Great info Lazer One! Two questions: 1. Did she make the passage? 2. What was her fate? (yes I know I can wiki-it but I'm lazy, catching up with the forum, and might forget. So I may as well ask the SME) She did one of the two scheduled passage and carried back one oil drum: the tank were filled wi...

Was the original bow modified for ice-breaking, or what happened to it? The original hull was strongly modified. http://sunshiporg.homestead.com/conv-01bu_resize.jpg http://sunshiporg.homestead.com/conv-02bu_resize.jpg The strongest modifications were made on the bow section but also the middle and...

just a small note to add: for a sailship "the lenght" is from bow to aft including the bow-mast. The drawing of Mary Celeste is having the boom longer than the aft but I did not considered it for the SB scaling: at the end the drawing will be a little longer. http://i540.photobucket.com/albums/gg335...
