Hi everyone!

OK the Smart-S overlook was embarrassing (typical, my wife would say...).

I revamped the SPG-51s by hand from a photograph, hope you like them. I'm assembling a French parts collection anyway, which will contain them.

Cheers

Hi all! I've rechecked the photographs I used and think I've got the location of the Mk13 launcher quite right. The directors are not from the parts sheet, because they looked a litte bland, but from a drawing showing the japanese destroyer Sawakaze ( http://www.shipbucket.com/drawings/7926/file ), ...

Hi all! Georges-Leygues-class destroyers – AAW variant Parallel with the second ASW batch, a batch of AAW frigates was built to replace the ancient T47 AAW-ships. Due to budget constraints, they were to recycle the T47’s Standard SM-1 launchers, obsolescent already by the time the F70 AAW variant wa...

Hello again! Georges-Leygues-class destroyers – Batch 2 The first batch was followed by three units of the second ASW batch. These had another deck in the forward superstructure, placing the bridge higher, thus making it drier and eliminating the necessity to cover the upper bridge (there's an impre...

Hi again! Georges-Leygues-Class destroyers To replace the obsolescent T47- and T53/56-type destroyers in the ASW and the AAW role, a new common hull type was designed. As the Tourville-design was considered thoroughly satisfactory, the new ship was to retain as many of her features as possible. It w...

Hi all! @ Mitchell I'll post a collection of French parts after the next warship class, might take some time, it's nine hulls. In the meantime: Durance-class Fleet Replenishment Ships Five modern multi-purpose replenishment oilers also carrying all kinds of dry stores. They replaced a collection of ...

And the next one: Fleet Repair ship Jules Verne http://www.shipbucket.com/drawings/10034/file Originally started as an ammunition transport named Acheron, this hull became France's only full-blown destroyer tender. She spent most of her service life at Djibouti and apparently was never significantly...

Hi and thanks for the praise everyone!

Torpedoes are now where they belong, shape of the sonar dome revised (it is bigger than I originally thought) and reduced the brightness contrast for the underwater hull.

Some French cold war ships (in no particular order) Tourville-class destroyers Designed in the mid-sixties as dedicated oceangoing anti-submarine escorts, these three destroyers were long known as France’s most seaworthy warships; they spent almost their entire careers operating in the Atlantic. The...
