The Iowas retained the MK 37 directors for the five inch guns. I could be wrong about the AN/SQS-9B though. The bow on the Ragnarokk is a more German style Atlantic bow for added sea keeping.

ASM can be fitted. On the 82, the big white dome on the main mast is the AN/SQS-9B, which is a radar that directs the guns. The iowa had that one, among many others.

If you go with the SU-33 and have a ski-ramp you won`t be getting any fully fueled, fully armed SU-33s into the air. The catapult is the only way to get a fully fueled, fully armed plane off the deck and into the air.

I have redone the Balder class battleship. It has been improved. Will Springsharp it later. I`m planning an AU about Norway. I drew this one battleship. Originally it was supposed to be the successor to the Tor class. Eventually the hull began to look too modern for a late 20`s-early 30`s battleship...

The F-15 and F-16 are also 70s` designs and yet, nations still buy and upgrade them. There are nations that still use the F-4 Phantom II which dates back to the latest stages of the 50s`. Just becasue it`s old doesn`t mean it`s bad.
