All refitted versions of the ships you see here will constitute the next post, and ...

The Rio De Janeiro class colonial cruisers: The need for a turbine-driven class of cruisers was all too apparent after the launch of the Atlantico -class ships came just a year before their total obsolescence. As a result, the Empire needed something fast. There was still leftover funding from the f...

The contract for their construction went to Ansaldo, the last foreign-built battleships of the Empire. Short-tubby ships based on contemporary Italian pre-dreadnoughts designed for the Mediterranean, their seakeeping left much to be desired. Nevertheless, they were laid down in April of 1902, launch...

Smoke And Iron: The Adriatic Ram Race: https://i.imgur.com/Ztmmk3d.png -The clash of ironclad rams at Lissa was a profound event throughout the naval world. There were lessons to be learned. Some nations rejected the idea that naval warfare should be based around capital ships fighting head-on, oth...

The AU itself isn't bad, and you've done a good job of writing the history and making it practical. There is nothing wrong with using other's drawings (as long as credit is properly applied ofc) as a base and incorporating parts of other's designs and drawings. I have done it before myself. Found some material I did a while back and forgot to post, so here it is! https://i.imgur.com/0iuX06s.png -Ever since the Nicaraguan Government had established it's navy, it realized it could not possibly hope to compete with any major nation in terms of capital ships or fleet size. Thus, the naval ...
