Hello! I know I said I was gonna do the "Blue Line" from 1970s Japan buuuuut I decided instead to try out something NOT from Japan briefly, in this case, the Chinese "Jinshan-Zhenhai Ferry" vessels, a group of 3 known (possibly 4) 85 Meter Long (as built) RO-PAX ferries from 1994 China

Firstly Is the "Yong Hua" which is best known as the "KMP Salvino" as it serves today in Indonesia

Speculated "as built" configuration, based on a Profile Drawing

then in the early 2000s she looked like this (seems her and all her sisters were rebuilt at some point in the 1990s but the exact date is completely unknown)
[ img ]

Later in 2014 she was renamed "Jie An Da 2" briefly when sold to Indonesia, where it was rebuilt and slightly lengthened to 90 Meters LOA, seen here after it was done and renamed "KMP Salvino" in 2015

in late 2017 she was repainted but otherwise remained unchanged

in 2018 she was Drastically Rebuilt, with an entirely new section built atop the stern (this is how she looks today)

and now I am working on the sistership "Zi Jing Ba Hao" otherwise known as "Trimas Laila"

wish me luck lol

AND THUS...Part two and the finale (until more can be found on her two mystery sisters) part is done!

her as-built name is seemingly unknown, but she was named "Zi Jing Ba Hao" in ALL of the known China era photos, and differed substantially from her sister Yong Hua (note: I have not done a speculated As built render of this one as the original name is unknown to me, but the ship was likely identical to her sister as built)

also take note of the chopped open bow, something unique to her

in 2014 she was sold to Indonesia and renamed "Trimas Laila", her stern was changed and a set of metal bars (with cable guides inside) was added over the bow to make ease of opening and closing the bow ramp substantially higher
[ img ]
also note her funnels were made slightly larger from front to back (same height and width as before however)

in 2015 only a year later she was given a touch-up and change of color
[ img ]

in 2016 AGAIN she was repainted (this time adding the owners name to her side)
[ img ]

in 2017 said logo was inexplicably painted over and she was changed yet again regarding the livery
[ img ]

FINALLY in 2019 she was refitted minorly and re-entered service in these colors (which she still wears to this day)

apologies for taking longer than usual, I appear to have caught a nasty cold!
