Good start!!

But you need to get rid of the dark grey line beneath the black lines. In shipbucket we only drawn darker than the surface lines beneath the black outlines when indicating overhang e.g shading it by this way. Some uses two tone darker grey to do this. Also check the cranes aside the elevators, don't draw douple blacklines. There is some wierd haze in the directors as well.

damn that is a fine looking ship. The post WWII RN is by far one of the most unique fleets in history. Im currently reading a book about the RN's post war growing pains and how it eventually led to the Invinicible and Ocean family of ships we have today.

Excellent work, Golly's notes aside. I would lighten the gray of the hull cut-ins, too.

This is a very fine looking ship, with a good drawing. A few remarks are in order though.
1 The gun turrets are wrong as the Ark Royal and Eagle had a mounting more akin to the one on the Illustrious class carriers

See this image and other photos http://www.maritimequest.com/warship_di ... al_r09.htm

2 the directors are wrong: the main directors were US made MK.37 directors with Type 275 radar (can be found in Hood's RN parts Sheet). the secondary directors are CRBF-like directors with Type 262 radar (also on Hood's RN parts sheet)

3 I would also make the hull recesses lighter.`1
