hello, my first time in here.
My great grandfather Berner Andreassen bought the "Spitfire" from the QLd. govt back around 1900, used it as a fishing boat of sorts, (sea cucumber) out of Port Douglas in North Queensland, sold it on later and was lost in a cyclone. I've never seen a photo of it, just a sketch and a line drawing - though not very detailed.
not much of a sailor myself I'm afraid.
